Support alarms from Germany
Kathmandu, March 10: General Secretary of Bhutan People's Party, Durga Giri based in Germany has appealed all Bhutanese to contribute for fire victims in Goldhap.
"Every single Bhutanese is deeply saddened by the devastating fire calamity that has befallen upon our unfortunate families in Goldhap camp" read a release issued by Giri, who contributed 30, 000 Nepalese currency for the same.
"At this hour of grief the entire Bhutanese community should stand as one Bhutanese by the people of Goldhap camp with the feelings of love, sharing and compassion regardless of where we are living" said Giri adding, "I personally would like to appeal all the Bhutanese working and having perennial source of income in Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States of America to come forward to make their generous financial contribution to the victims through the Kathmandu based Fire Victims Relief Action Committee"
He said, realizing the gravity of the situation, that we are addressing the alarming humanitarian cause of more than 10,000 Bhutanese all at a time, we should come up with the utmost contribution from our individual capacity at this hour. Like Giri, Tejman Rayaka and Govind Adhikari from Germany have also contributed 10, 000 Nepalese currency each. Bhutan News Service
