Govt initiates awareness program on H5N1

Phuentsholing, January 28: As the incidents of Bird Flu (H5N1) soar up in India, the government has started awareness programs to alert people about the hazard, this week. 
Ministry of Health organized one such camp in Phuentsholing, since the town is vulnerable to the disease. However, no case of bird flu has been reported so far in the country. 
Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Animal Health and the Bhutan Agriculture and Food Regularity Authority have initiated steps to prevent the disease from entering Bhutan. Bhutan News Service
