The country gets yet another magazine
November 06, 2009: The race for new debut in media industry continues as the country gets yet another magazine that specializes on entertainment industry.
The country’s first film and entertainment magazine, Druk Trowa, is ready to hit the news stand and sell celluloid stories to readers from Monday, November 9.
Druk Trowa’s first issue introduces those in the glamour industry through comprehensive one-to-one interviews and profiles, Kuensel writes, with a galore of colorful pictures of singers, actors and actresses.
Published in attractive glossy papers, the first issue also brings out a 17-page picture essay on the eighth national film awards.
Edited by Yagchen Dukpa, the magazine expects to promote Bhutanese cultures and entertainment sector.
Chief executive officer of Wisdom Pictures Yeshey Tshering is the publisher of this biannual magazine. The magazine targets to come out once in four months next year. The seven-member team is entrusted for all works of the magazine. Printed in India the magazine costs Nu 100.
Similarly, K4 Media that currently takes over the job for bringing out Bhutan Times weekly after mass resignation plans to bring out a monthly magazine shortly.
