SAFPI delegation meets Nepalese FM in Delhi
New Delhi, August 31: South Asian Forum for People's Initiative hosted a luncheon for the honor of Nepalese Foreign Minister, Upendra Yadav who was in Delhi to attend the BIMSTEC meet.
The Bhutanese delegation led by Rongthong Kunley Dorji, President of Druk National Congress, also including chairman of Human Rights Organization of Bhutan (HUROB) S. B. Subba and other three, met Nepalese Foreign Minister and urged him to assist the repatriation of exiled Bhutanese.
Yadav informed the delegation that he had a lengthy discussion with Bhutanese counterpart, Ugyen Tshering at the sideline of BIMSTEC meeting on Saturday and has been urged to translate past agreement into reality. Bhutanese Foreign minister had promised and agreed to finalize in their next meeting sooner.
Prominent Indian leaders present during the luncheon were Sharad Yadav, Janta Dal (United) leader DP Tripathi, General Secretary of NCP Ravi Shankar Prasad, General Secretary of BJP Prof. Anand Kumar, Chairman of SAFPI, Sudhindra Bhadoria, General Secretary of SAFPI Dr. Parmanand and journalist Anand Swroop Verma.
