Repatriation hope continues

A survey conducted by the Senior Citizens of Bhutan (SCB) led by Harkajung Subba has shown that as many as twenty-thousand Bhutanese refugees still want to return home.

SCB with support from few other exile-based organizations including the Human Rights Organization of Bhutan, had urged the compatriots to fill out a form, asking them to indicate if they wanted to return to their homeland. The campaign that started on May 4 has been recently concluded.

The campaigners are planning to submit the signatures to the UNHCR and the governments of Nepal, Bhutan and India, including other concerned bodies.
