BRCF kicks off child rights protection training in camps
Beldangi-II, October 14: Bhutanese Refugee Children Forum (BRCF) has begun five-month long training on ‘Child Rights Protection’ in all seven camps.
Child Rights Training Facilitator Sushma Khadka Chhetri informed the BNS that the training started from September 13. The training is aimed at creating awareness within the exiled Bhutanese children regarding their protection rights and making them skillful in reporting areas among others.
Chhetri informed that the training is already completed in Goldhap and Timai camps while it is underway in Khudhunabari camp.
Chhetri also informed the BNS that the training was basically aimed at making exiled Bhutanese children able to report to concern authorities on their own while in troubles inside camps. “This is the need of the hour since literate circle is leaving for third countries from the camps”, said Chhetri.
The program coordinator of the BRCF Indra Timsina informed the BNS that the training was financially funded by the Lutheran World Federation.
