Exiled Bhutanese have right to return: Mann
Kathmandu, October 07: The US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Steven R Mann said the US wishes that all the Bhutanese who have legitimate claims to residency in Bhutan should be repatriated.
He also said the US is ready to settle up to 60,000 exiled Bhutan if they do not want to be repatriated, Mann said during a press conference in Kathmandu on Friday before he returned to US completing his four day long Nepal visit.
All options, including third country settlement should be kept open, he stressed. He said the exiled Bhutanese have rights to get back and upon failure of this possibility, third could settlement would be better option. Bhutan News Service
