Nepal writes Bhutan for talks
Kathmandu, October 13: Government of Nepal formally wrote to the Bhutanese government asking to sit for talks on issue of exiled Bhutanese.
In a letter dispatched by the Nepalese foreign ministry on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister K. P. Sharma Oli has asked the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Lyonpo Khandu Wangchuk, to sit for talks to finalise the protracted crisis.
Nepal has proposed the date for talks to be on November 12 and 13 and venue for the talks as Kathmandu. This will be 16th round of bilateral talks between Bhutan and Nepal. The 15 round of talks was held in Thimpbu.
Bhutan received the invitation as per the agreement reached between Oli and Wangchuk to sit for final round of bilateral talks on the issue in New York recently while both the leaders had reached there leading their national delegation for 61st session of the UN General Assembly. Bhutan News Service
