BRWF harasses journo

Beldangi, October 15: Beldangi-II branch secretary including other responsible members of the Bhutanese Refugee Women Forum (BRWF) have harassed Bhutan News Service (BNS) correspondent while trying to collect information on October 15.
 
Secretary Devi Maya Adhikari denied reacting to the BNS query on the recent US announcement to allow about 60,000 exiled Bhutanese to its land. She even used rude words also denying giving information.
 
"Why should I answer you? No one will speak to people like you", she said, adding, "Mind your own business we are busy here."
 
Januka Ghimirey, another member of BRWF scolded the correspondent saying they know better to report than BNS correspondent. "Why should we speak to you? We too can write on our own", she said.
 
The deputy camp secretary of Beldangi-II Parvati Biswa was also present on the occasion, however, she didn't react to the scolding by BRWF officials.
 
This is the first time that BNS correspondent in camps has encountered such problems while gathering information. Bhutan News Service
