Police harasses women in camps
Goldhap, January 03: At least two dozens exiled Bhutanese, including five policemen, sustained injuries during a scuffle between exiled Bhutanese and policemen at Godhap camp in Jhapa district, Tuesday.
The situation turned tensed after two police personnel, Gautam Bahadur Gurung and Chhatra Bahadur Mukhiya, tried to harass women in camps during the mid night.
The exiled Bhutanese had taken the policemen under control after people found them at a woman’s hut at midnight.
The scuffle occurred between the exiled Bhutanese and the police when additional police force came to camp to rescue them.
People released the two policemen later in the evening after an agreement was reached between the representatives from both the sides. Bhutan News Service
