Refoulement alerts in Kenya
Kenya, Jan 16: Kenya forcibly returned 400 Somali asylum seekers, most of them women and children, on January 3, prompting protests from UNHCR and the Refugee Consortium of Kenya (RCK).
The RCK said the move made Kenya a "pariah state" and urged the Kenyan Government to "to demonstrate respect for human rights and not to penalize victims of the Somalia conflict, as it takes measures to improve security along the border." Bhutan News Service
