Japanese NGO provides solar street lamps

Timai,Jan 16:Japanese NGO JS-Foundation has sponsored 22 solar street lamps in Timai camp through LWF. These lamps are fixed in 17 sectors.

Sources said that this project would be extended to other camps within 2007. For this, JS-Foundation has provided 50 lakhs. It has already invested eight lakhs for Timai.

It is learnt that these lamps are provided with declared objective of controlling unwanted situations at night.Bhutan News Service
