Rizal admits hospital

Kathmandu, July 7: Human rights leader Tek Nath Rizal is currently undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital when his sugar level increased suddenly. He was admitted on July 4.

According to his wife Kaushila Rizal, he is a diabetic patient since 1986. Rizal, who was detained for 10 years in Bhutan was reported to have deprived of proper treatment.

However, physicians are yet to confirm his discharge.

Rizal, Chairman of Bhutanese Movement Steering Committee (BMSC) and Bhutanese Refugee Representative Repatriation Committee (BRRRC), is currently leading sit-in protest that has been ongoing since a month in front of the UN house and SAARC secretariat.Bhutan News Service/Desvakta Mishra
