New Delhi, February 07: The Indo-Bhutan Friendship Society (IBFS) delegation led by its president Satya Prakash Malaviya met Bhutanese Ambassador to India Major General V. Namgyal on February 3 at Bhutanese embassy in Delhi.
A delegation extended the warm welcome to Bhutanese Ambassador to India and appraised the activities of society and its unflinching commitment for strengthening the people to people relations between India and Bhutan.
The delegation extended the appreciation of the democratic transition in Bhutan but also expressed the serious concern at the conspicuous absence of the democratic leaders and exile political parties' participation in democratic process.
"The democratic government in Thimphu must display the change in heart and it should approach reconciliatory  to the issues of refugee and exile political leaders." said Malaviya.
The Ambassador extended the appreciation of the society's works to promote the friendship between India and Bhutan. He promised the delegation to intimate the Bhutanese Government on the concerns raised.
Prof. Balraj Kumar, Prof. Arvind Chaturvedi, Ramesh Sharma, Rajiv Agarwal and Vijay Gupta were part of delegation. Bhutan News Service
